I am a teacher-scholar with over 20 years of experience in education. I work with K-16 educators, school and university administrators, non-profit organizations and companies in their efforts towards excellence in data-driven instruction and assessment, curriculum development, and program and policy design and evaluation.

When I partner with a team, I bring a breadth of experiences to bear in our work together. My mixed-methods research centers on teacher education and educational policymaking. I’ve published extensively and have served as a reviewer and editor in the fields of teacher education and policy. I’ve developed curricular materials for undergraduate teacher educators, practicing teachers, K-12 schools, universities, non-profits, and more. I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and began my career in education as a middle school English As a Second Language (ESL) teacher in a middle school in the South Bronx.
